Elmira College Lands 77 Student-Athletes and 11 Teams on E8 Spring President's List
The Empire 8 Conference honored 77 Elmira College student-athletes on its President's List, which recognizes student-athletes who earned a grade-point average of 3.75 or higher during the spring term. In addition, a total of 11 EC teams were named to the E8 All-Academic Team for possessing a GPA of 3.20 and higher.

Students Earn Degrees from the University of Vermont
Some 3,275 students were awarded degrees during the University of Vermont's 218th commencement ceremonies. Darren Walker who presides over the Ford Foundation, one of the world's most influential social justice philanthropies and one of the largest private foundations in the United States, delivered the address.

2019 Conference Services Assistants
Conference Services Assistants report to the Director of Conference Services and live on campus for the summer. They provide quality and efficient customer service to guests who may be on campus for a day or several weeks. Their responsibilities include ensuring the safety and security of all guests, facilitating guest check-ins and check-outs, assisting with move-outs and damage assessments, communicating and enforcing conference policies, working at campus events, and acting as a liaison between guests and Conference Services.

Lahey, Granato and Beaudin Receive All-USCHO Honors
Following a seventh consecutive berth into the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament, three members of the Elmira College women's ice hockey team were recognized by U.S. College Hockey Online (USCHO). All-Americans Meg Lahey '19 and Katie Granato '19 were named to the All-USCHO First and Second Teams, respectively, while first-year forward Eliza Beaudin '22 was included on the All-Rookie Team.

After guiding the Elmira College women's ice hockey team to a second consecutive United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) title and a trip to the Quarterfinals of the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Ice Hockey Championship, seniors Katie Granato '19 and Meg Lahey '19 were named First Team CCM Hockey/American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) All-Americans.

2019 Sophomore Expedition
The Sophomore Expedition is a guaranteed study abroad program. In the spring semester of their sophomore year, students participate in a series of classes to prepare them for the trip. Then they spend 8-10 days traveling as a class to an international destination where they participate in a number of service activites. This year they traveled to Athens, Greece.
